Well, as expected, seeing the results of the 2024 general election, the brainwashed and parochial Ireland voter once again re-voted back in the same political Mafia as last time. too many stupidly forgot that voting for Fine Gael, you get Fianna Fail and voting for Fianna Fail, you get Fine Gael. why these two parties won’t just join together, is another forthcoming post. In the meantime, they are already up to their tricks – even before they buggered off on a five-week, self-voted for, holiday. The average Irish worker could be so lucky! As soon as the new government with many of the same old faces, same old self-interest thinking and same old ways, got into the new government filled Dail? They voted through their extensive holiday and off they all jaunted. For the record, opposition gave out tremendously about TD’s long holidays – but as usual, Fine Gael and Fianna Fail (plus now independents enabling them) didn’t give a crap!
The old government setup of Fianna Fail/Fine Gael (and useless, treacherous Greens) remained in place till the new version (replacement for Greens = independents) took over. Between the change from one past setup to the bugger all different other, the two main parties OK’ed the buying of a new luxury jet. Cost of more than €50m. PR spin for justifying it, that it will be used to rescue Irish people and the previous was constantly failing. The latter is true, it did have faults – and the former excuse? The state had to pay €8,000 an hour to hire a plane to rescue Irish people on a very rare occasion. However, when the previous plane was repaired, it was well used for additional junket trips where no lives were in danger – and for the rare occasions, the old plane was used to rescue Ireland people, in all the previous government terms combined, the price of such rescue operations was never anywhere near €25 million in total cost. More truth be more told, the 30-year-old Learjet was only used to carry out medical evacuations in 2024.
