Today’s going on in the Dail has been indicative of the long historic antics of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael. Elected representatives allowed put no questions to a person that twice now has been exposed as questionable and connected possible suspicious antics. Democracy and better accountability denied, our leaders of government run out their now usual political tactics – and then introduce a new tactic.

Tactics.
1. Avoid all questions if possible.
2. Change the topic.
3. Turn around and attack opposition for daring to even try ask questions.
4. Attack media journalists for stating facts that can be independently verified and sharing true documentation on file.
5. Ringfence their own at all costs, even if that’s truth too!
6. Totally avoid any vestiges of accountability.
7. Espouse again that the Dail is not a courtroom for others to address matters (except, of course, when FF/FG want to question opposition – then that’s 100% ok!)
8. Misconstrue the facts.
9. Leave out greater details that they would rather not take questions on.

However, now Michael Martin has now introduced a new tactic, part similar to tactic 2 – but taking that a step further. This new tactic is to change topic before going off on a conspiracy spin on a topic (Russian spying) that has nothing actually to do with the original matter in hand. Down the conspiracy rabbit hole Michael went, in order to deliberate try change the conversation.

You couldn’t make this stuff up – but once again, Fianna Fail easily can. Many are increasing growing sick of it.

“IN VERITATE TRIUMPHO” is a phrase that long exists. It’s a statement of something that Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Greens and yes, even the Labour Party, cannot comprehend. The phrase exposes why others have become so successful in stating facts and thusly gain ground over others of more questionable nature.

When a person, media outlet or investigating body states simple facts or produced documents that expose no lies, those up to good, hate the words “IN VERITATE TRIUMPHO”.

Why? “IN VERITATE TRIUMPHO” means “I triumph from the truth” and it’s clear that our too long entrenched in their ways, outdated corrupt parties still
(a) cannot get their head around this and
(b) are still clearly, fundamentally, not willing to change their core values and methods of operation as they continue to defend and even, possible act deviously in order to further (again) allow no greater democratic accountability.

You, the voter, are not supposed to cop all this. You are expected to just swallow their constant PR that they are the greatest thing ‘since sliced bread’. Swallow that they are the good guys and everyone else is just bad… bad… Even for daring to try (and be subsequently blocked) from asking questions. Some form of democracy we have in the Dáil as exhibited yet again, care of the usual culprits?

Today was a masterclass in showing to the world why Ireland needs to see the back of rotten parties and those within them. Sadly, most of this masterclass will not be shown by RTE news or detailed by other media that are taking state money in the background. They don’t wish to seriously bite a hand that’s feeding them by one way or devious other. There’s government jobs to be also given to journalists, as a way to reward the political faithful?

Politics in Ireland needs a total clean up. We all know this. The continuing current crap is not acceptable any more. The usual culprits are not acceptable any more. We all know this. It’s time to move on. It’s #TimeForBetter.

P.S. If The Ditch has stated anything that is wrong or is blatant lies, we can of course, look forward to the journalists being sued in the Dublin highcourts. I suspect however, that there will be no case – and that also says a lot. A lot you are also not supposed to cop!
