The Dail Ducking Of What Needs To Be Done, Continues.

Ireland is a country that has a rich history of political activism, many times centred around seeking social justice. However, in recent years and connecting governments, it has become increasingly clear that the country’s political system is in need of significant reform. One of the most pressing issues facing Irish politics today is the need for greater accountability. This once again has been made clear by the next Collins farce that Fianna Fail are willing to also overlook in order to end-game, save their own backsides and stay in power. It’s power before proper justice and truth.
.
The lack of accountability in Irish politics has been a recurring problem for decades. However, as the 70+ farces that the current government parties are connected to right now, it’s obvious things are growing worse – and FF/FG are ever unwilling to do what must be done. Every SIPO annual report states there’s no change in many of the ways of state operation and outdated laws. SIPO cry consistently that all and more needs updating and adjustment. FF/FG continue to disallow what’s needed every year.
.
From the expenses’ scandal, property scandals, pressganging scandals, privatisation scandals, neutrality antics, to a consistent trail of corruption allegations and more, the Irish political system has been plagued by a lack of transparency and accountability. This has resulted in a lack of trust in politicians and a growing sense of disillusionment among the public.
.
One further main reason why Irish politics needs greater accountability, is that it is actually essential for a healthy democracy. Accountability is the foundation of democracy, and without it, the people cannot hold their elected representatives accountable for their actions. This lack of accountability has resulted in an Ireland political system that is out of touch with the needs and concerns of the people. Housing and health are just two clear signs of this. There are many other signs for the non-blinkered to easy see.
.
Another reason why Ireland politics needs greater accountability is that it would further help to prevent higher levels of corruption and abuses of power. Lord knows, there’s enough of that still going on already! When politicians are able to be better held accountable for their actions, they are less likely to engage in corrupt activities or abuse their power. This would not only benefit the people of Ireland but would also help to restore trust in a political system.
.
Moreover, greater accountability would also help to improve the quality of governance in Ireland. When politicians are held accountable for their actions, they are more likely to make decisions based on the needs and interests of the people, rather than – as it is now under the control of the usual political Mafia – too much of their own personal interests or the interests of their party. Greater justice and accountability would result in a more responsive and effective government.
.
Ireland politics needs far greater accountability. We all ultimately know this. The people of Ireland deserve a political system that is transparent, accountable, and responsive to their needs and concerns. It is time for a fresh made up, alternative content government to take action to ensure that Irish politics is held to the highest standards of accountability.

Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Green Party and Labour Party have over years and repeated voter given opportunities, deliberately failed to make this happen. So, it’s time to wise up more and pick new people along with new directions. Our children’s future is depending on it. It’s #TimeForBetter
